DAY WISE ITINERARY

Day 1 : 
ARRIVE SRINAGAR
Welcome to Srinagar, the lake city. Upon arrival at Airport in Srinagar, begin your ‘Magical Kashmir’ tour. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.
Overnight in Srinagar – None (Meals on your own)

Day 2 : 
SRINAGAR – EXCURSION TO SONMARG (82 KMS/ APPROX. 4 HOUR DRIVE ONE-WAY)
Today, embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘meadow of gold’ – Sonmarg. The fast flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and Mahseer fishing in summer.
The evening is at leisure. Just walk around the valley or you can opt for a pony ride (on direct payment basis) to one of the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice.

Day 3 : 
ON TO GULMARG (52 KMS / APPROX. 2 HOUR DRIVE)
This morning, proceed to Gulmarg driving past willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg – the ‘meadow of flowers’ is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden spot offering a spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees.
The rest of the day is at leisure. You can take a leisurely stroll or pony rides across the green meadows to one of the world’s highest Golf Courses. You may wish to take a fun-filled ride in the Gondola.
Overnight in Gulmarg (B)

Day 4 : 
ON TO SRINAGAR (52 KMS / APPROX 2 HOUR DRIVE)
Today, you will drive to Srinagar. On arrival, check-in to your houseboat.
In the afternoon, proceed on a city tour visiting, the famous Mughal Gardens Chasmashahi, Nishad and Shalimar (closed on Friday). These gardens were where Mughal emperors once relaxed with their exquisite queens and even today are popular picnic spots. Also visit the very famous lord Shiva -Shankaracharya temple. The temple is located on the summit of the same name, and is overlooking the town of Srinagar. The temple dates back to 200 BC, although the present structure probably dates back to the 9th century AD. The temple was visited by the Adishankaracharya and has ever since been associated with him.
The rest of the evening is at leisure. You can visit the local handicrafts shops where you can purchase local hand crafted items – shawls, jackets, bed covers, paper mache, carpets and much more! In the evening you may wish to explore the local markets.
Overnight in Srinagar (B, L, D)

Day 5 : 
DEPART SRINAGAR
Today, bid farewell to your ‘Magical Kashmir’ tour as you are transferred to the Airport in Srinagar for your onward journey.

TOUR INCLUSIONS

1. Accommodation in the hotels listed or similar hotels.
2. Transportation – Entire round trip Ex- Srinagar by Non-Air conditioned Qualis / Tavera (Economy and Standard category) and Non Air conditioned Innova (Deluxe category) as per the itinerary. Vehicle is as per the itinerary and not on disposal basis.
3. Meals – Daily buffet breakfast at all places. The stay in houseboat includes all meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner as per the Itinerary.
4. One Shikara ride on a sharing basis once during the stay.
5. Travel Insurance.
6. All currently applicable taxes i.e. Hotel tax and Transportation tax.

• Any transport to / from Srinagar. Your tour price starts Ex Srinagar.
• Air, Train or Bus fare from / to your originating city of stay, unless specified.
• Items of personal nature viz, tips, porterage, room service, laundry, mineral water, alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages, phone calls, additional sightseeing tours and excursions not included in the itinerary, still or video camera fees etc.
• Any increase in fuel cost, government taxes, entrance fees, intra and interstate taxes etc, the tour price will be amended in accordance.
• Entrance fees and guide charges wherever applicable.
